ABOUT US

We know finding a church to call ‘home’ can be challenging! All of us at Christ Church want to welcome you and hope you would like to call Christ Church your home too.

The first thing you will notice as you walk in the front door is the large open area, we call The Commons. It’s a great casual place to mingle and connect with one another before and after worship. It’s like walking into your own gathering room at home.

From there you will find signs and friendly people to help you find your way around.

WHO WE ARE GLOBAL METHODIST CHURCH

OUR MISSION

The Global Methodist Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness across the globe.

OUR VISION

Through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, the Global Methodist Church envisions multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ throughout the earth who flourish in scriptural holiness as we worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.

OUR VALUES

These mission and vision of the Global Methodist Church undergird and fuel
all we do at Christ Church. We want to see everyone in our community and across the globe learn who Jesus is, experience the life-transforming grace of surrendering to and being devoted to him, and make a difference in the world around them for God’s kingdom.

OUR HISTORY

SMALL BEGINNINGS

Experience the power of faith at Christ Church Methodist, a remarkable community born out of a once-vacant piece of land in the heart of The Woodlands. It all began when Dr. Daniel T. Hannon planted the church on April 15, 1991, and we celebrated our first Christmas Eve on our very own campus in 1995. Since then, we have grown to reach out beyond our walls and into our community and the world beyond, driven by our unshakable faith in Christ.

Our Christ Church Preschool, established in 1997, and The Climbing Tree Daycare and School, established in 2005, offer exceptional learning and development opportunities for children from six weeks to five years old. Our faith-based curriculum provides a Christ-centered extension of the family unit, ensuring that each child receives the best possible start in life.

For those who have departed this life, our Garden of Grace Columbarium offers a place of eternal rest. Established in 2011, it is a peaceful and sacred space where loved ones can be remembered and honored.

As the scripture says, “while it was Paul who planted and Apollos who watered it, it is God who makes it grow.” (1 Cor.3:6) We invite you to come and grow with us as we continue to spread God’s love and grace throughout the world. Join our welcoming community and experience the transformative power of faith at Christ Church Methodist.
