Children experience the presence of God in all kinds of ways, especially when they’re surrounded by people who example Christ to them.

Think how loved and valued a child feels when an adult or high school student sees them in church and simply calls out to them by name! Or sends them a card. They experience belonging.

So as a part of the Prayer ministry we are offering an intergenerational Prayer Partner program for children ages Kindergarten through 3rd grade. This commitment is until the end of this summer 2022. When possible, partnerships will be assigned between adults and children that do not currently know each other to increase connections.

Here are the commitments for the children:

  • Meet their prayer partner face to face at least once (at the breakfast table in the Commons on a Sunday or in the gym on a Wednesday evening.)
  • Pray for his/her prayer partner

Here are the commitments for the adult and student prayer partners:

  • Meet your prayer partner child face to face at least once (at the breakfast table in the Commons on a Sunday or in the gym on a Wednesday evening.)
  • Send an occasional card of encouragement
  • Pray for him/her.
  • Look for them whenever at church and just say hello.
  • Watch a short(14 minute) video and fill out a background check form.

Let’s make this a place where all of us:

Experience the presence of God, a sense of belonging, and hope for the future.
