Christ Church Serving Opportunities

“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” – John 13:35
Please join your church family as we show Christ’s love through service to others. Please register in advance if possible to help us plan our activities. If you realize you can serve at the last minute, join us – we will have an opportunity available for you!

September Serve Opportunities

Saturday, September 2 | Meet in The Commons of the church at 8:30 AM, we will assist in filling approx 30 boxes with food items and delivering them to low-income families in Conroe. This is super easy, supporting Compassion United and doesn’t take long and is a good Family Serve Project.
 
Sunday, September 3 | The first Sunday food pantry collection will be for the Tamina Community Center. Drop off non-perishable food items to the grocery cart in the Commons.
 
Disaster Relief for Maui | Our Mission Committee will match up to $5000 in donations to support the victims of the Maui fires. Offering will be collected at the communion rail on Sunday, September 3rd. You can also give online here please designate in the memo for “Disaster relief for Maui” 
 
September 6 & 7 Salvation Army | Join us in the CLC Gym kitchen on Wednesday, September 6 at 1:30 for food prep. Thursday, Sept, 7 we meet at 10:30 AM at the Conroe Salvation Army to serve meals to those in need.
 
Family Promise | September 24-30, Several volunteer opportunities. Providing meals, meal host, & overnight host. Volunteer here
 
Saturday, September 30 Serving Our Seniors | We are partnering with Interfaith of The Woodlands for their SOS Day, Serving our Seniors. We need an 8 -10-member team to meet at Interfaith at 7:30am to pick up our supplies and get our location for serving that day. Our team will be helping a senior adult in our community with yard work. Please register on the form below and fill out the attached liability form for Interfaith. Register Here

Costa Rica Mission Trip

Why:  to continue building a church and host VBS for area churches

Buy a “Coffee Share” to help support the Costa Rica Mission Trip. Donations will be used to provide project supplies.

October 4 & 5 Salvation Army | Join us in the CLC Gym kitchen on Wednesday, September 6 at 1:30 for food prep. Thursday, Sept, 7 we meet at 10:30 AM at the Conroe Salvation Army to serve meals to those in need.
 
Pumpkin Patch | The Pumpkins are coming Sunday, October 15. We will need help unloading and managing the Pumpkin Patch. Please see the link to sign up to work in the Pumpkin Patch – volunteer
 

October 21st Pregnancy Assistance Center North (PACN) is a Christ-centered, non-profit organization that serves women and men by providing care for sexual health and pregnancy decisions.  Our purpose is to share the compassionate love of Christ by meeting physical and spiritual needs, while being a voice for the unborn in our community. 

PACN does not provide abortions and is not affiliated with a provider of abortions. PACN is the church’s positive response to abortion. 

They are in need of volunteers, women and men, to intake clients, run medical equipment and provide spiritual mentoring.  Please consider attending one of the remaining orientation training classes this year on either October 21st or December 9th at their Woodlands center from 10 – noon.   For more information, please contact them at 281 367 1518 or Dennis Hallaron at 281 222 3625.
